Inspirational Women Series: Chloe Carroll
Nutritionist and mum of two, Chloe Carroll, was born and raised in Canberra where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and discovered her passion for food.
Now based in Brisbane, she recently made the top 5 in the 2018 season of MasterChef Australia where viewers got to see a glimpse of her love of Asian-style cooking and desserts first-hand.
Her dream post MasterChef? To start her own cooking school that focuses on family nutrition and encouraging kids to get more involved in food preparation.
Biz Gals: What is your greatest achievement?
Chloe: Raising a young family while completing a full-time University degree.
Biz Gals: What is the greatest lesson you have learnt?
Chloe: To believe in yourself! I think we often get caught up in comparing
ourselves to others and it can be debilitating towards our own successes in life.
Biz Gals: What is the best bit of advice you have been given?
Chloe: When Nigella Lawson came to the MasterChef kitchen, she brought with her a sense of empowerment. Her advice to me was to be kinder and not so hard on myself. "We all tend to be our own, hardest critic. But there is a point at which is becomes unhelpful’. Wise words from a wise woman that I think we should all live by.
Biz Gals: What or who inspires you?
Chloe: My partner and children inspire me everyday to be brave, kind, compassionate, loving, fun and unique.
Biz Gals: What is your biggest hope for women in the future?
Chloe: I’m obsessed with seeing women encourage, support and empower other women, but we need to see more it!
Biz Gals: What advice would you give your younger self?
Chloe: Life is not always greener on the other side. Enjoy the present whilst working towards your dreams for the future.
